Where can I find my American Heart Association certificate/eCard?

Your certificate or eCard will be available in your RQI account after completing both online course and skill test.

Who should take BLS certification classes?

BLS is required for healthcare professionals; nurses, physicians, dentists or dental professionals, paramedics, EMTs, physical therapists and other healthcare workers. First responders; firefighters, police officers, and public safety personnel and healthcare students. Individuals who want to be prepared to help in emergencies at home, work, or in the community can also benefit from BLS training.

Who should take ACLS certification classes?

ACLS certification is designed for healthcare professionals, especially those who regularly handle cardiac emergencies or are in high-risk environments. This includes physicians, nurses, paramedics, and EMRs. The certification is recommended for those who directly or indirectly participate in the management of cardiac arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies

Who should take PALS certification classes?

PALS certification is highly recommended for healthcare providers who work with children and infants, including those in emergency response, intensive care, and critical care units. This includes physicians, nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals involved in the emergency treatment of pediatric patients. It's particularly important for those who may be called upon to manage life-threatening situations in children

How long does it take to complete the complete Healthcare Provider Bundle?

The duration of the online courses varies — for the online/at-home cognitive portion, BLS typically takes 1 to 2 hours, while ACLS and PALS may take between 2 to 6 hours. In either case, these are followed by a 30 to 60 minute in-person skills assessment in our testing facilities.

Are Instructors available if I need help during my in-person skills training session?

In the voice-assisted manikin skill session, a remote instructor can provide you further assistance if you need it, ensuring you effectively meet the requirements for BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

What is the Heartcode online training?

Heartcode is our adaptive online training platform that delivers the theoretical components of our courses at your own pace before you attend the hands-on skills assessment.

What’s the difference between the complete Bundle package and the Bundle skills-only option?

The complete Bundle package includes the online course + skills test. While the skills-only option is for those who have completed the Heartcode BLS/ACLS/PALS course through American Heart Association and only need to come for the skill testing. Training for two of three skills bundled together at once is the most convenient, most cost-effective way to get multiple AHA CPR Certifications.

Do I need to complete the Heartcode courses before scheduling a Bundle skills session?

Yes, you must complete the online Heartcode courses for either BLS, ACLS, or PALS before attending your combined in-person skills test.

When are Healthcare Provider Bundle skills appointments offered?

All of our centers offer appointments every hour on the hour.  Most facilities are open 24/7. Skills appointments for the Healthcare Provider Bundle are available throughout the week during our training center hours, ensuring flexible scheduling for a combined assessment.

Is the Healthcare Provider Bundle approved by the American Heart Association (AHA)?

Yes, the Healthcare Provider Bundle is fully approved by the American Heart Association and meets all certification standards for BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

What’s the difference between the complete PALS package and the PALS skills-only option?

The complete PALS package includes the online course + skills test. While the skills-only option is for those who have already completed the Heartcode PALS online course and are just needing the skill test.

Our PALS program is a hybrid training course for American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification. You complete the adaptive online AHA Heartcode PALS course at home, then attend a hands-on skills assessment at our training center.

When are PALS skills appointments offered?

PALS skills appointments are scheduled throughout the week during our training center hours, providing flexible options. Most centers are open 24/7, but you should check the hours of the center closest to you.  PALS skills appointments typically take less than an hour, and we have classes starting every hour.
